Start with what limits your work today, not what sounds impressive
If you're doing character animation and rigging, a strong CPU matters more right now than a top-tier GPU -- see our character animation workstation guide. If you're already rendering client work, VRAM becomes the bottleneck instead. Buy for the thing that's actually slowing you down.
A phased approach that works
1. Phase 1 -- get a capable base machine: 6-8 core CPU, 32GB RAM, mid-range GPU (RTX 4060 Ti, 8-12GB). This handles learning, rigging, animating and moderate rendering. 2. Phase 2 -- upgrade the GPU once render work is paying for itself. Move to a 12-16GB VRAM card once you're taking on client work that genuinely needs it, funded by that work rather than speculatively. 3. Phase 3 -- add a second machine or render node once you have steady project flow and rendering is competing with your ability to keep animating on the same PC.

A capable Phase 1 machine as above typically lands around UGX 4,500,000-6,500,000 depending on the exact CPU/GPU pairing and whether you already have peripherals like a tablet or second monitor.
Don't skip a second monitor
It's not glamorous advice, but a second display is one of the highest-value additions for animation work -- reference footage, timeline and viewport all fighting for space on one screen slows you down more than most hardware bottlenecks do.
