- Storage: a fast NVMe SSD (1TB minimum) -- BIM 360 sync and large local model files both benefit from it directly
Where firms overspend
The most common mistake we see is buying a top-tier GPU (RTX 4080/4090) for BIM work that never actually renders in real time -- that budget is almost always better spent on RAM and a faster CPU, which is what Navisworks and large Revit models actually bottleneck on.
