All three live and die by VRAM
Lumion, Enscape and Twinmotion all render in real time using your graphics card, which means VRAM (video memory) is the number that matters most -- more than raw GPU speed. Run out of VRAM mid-walkthrough and you'll see stuttering, texture pop-in, or crashes, regardless of how fast your CPU is.
- Lumion -- the heaviest of the three on VRAM, especially with its built-in vegetation and weather effects. 12GB is a comfortable minimum for real projects; 16GB if you use large landscape scenes.
- Enscape -- lighter than Lumion, plugs directly into Revit/SketchUp/ArchiCAD, and is more forgiving on 8-12GB cards, though 12GB+ is still safer for big models.
- Twinmotion -- similar footprint to Lumion since it shares Unreal Engine's rendering core; budget for 12GB+ VRAM if you use its higher-quality presets.

CPU and RAM still matter -- just less
The CPU mostly affects how fast your CAD model syncs into the renderer, not the real-time frame rate itself. A 6-8 core CPU is enough. RAM should match whatever your main CAD software needs (see our RAM guide) since the renderer runs alongside it, not instead of it.
Our take for Kampala firms
If you're standardising on one renderer for the whole studio, buy the GPU for that renderer's real needs rather than the biggest card available -- a 12GB RTX 4070-class card covers the vast majority of Ugandan project sizes without the RTX 4080/5080 price jump.
